Stracciatella
The concept of stacciatella was firstly conceived in 1962 in Bergamo, Italy by Enrico Panattoni. According to Panattoni, he conceived after he was tired of stirring eggs into broth to satisfy his restaurant's customers, who were constantly asking for a stracciatella soup.
But as soon as this explosive ice cream blend of dark chocolate with cream was inspired, the flavour became extremely popular in Rome. At Kayak, the Stracciatella flavour is an ode to the traditional recipe that first appeared about 60 years ago and has never been forgotten.
